As a not-so-proud Via C3 owner I can safely say that C3's perform like 
an Intel/AMD processor would at HALF the clock-speed...  In other words, 
an 800MHz C3 performs about like a 400MHz PII or K-6 (slower in many 
cases, depending on what you are doing with it).
