That's just what kind of video card the Thinkpad had... Best to check
what driver you're actually using.

It's been working for me with the old driver, so I never got around
to looking at the patches to see what changed between 8.0 and 9.0...
just too busy.

I thought it was only the Trident cards, but it might be worth a try
with other drivers.  I don't know what video system the Latitude uses.
