[MPlayer-users] no encoding of TV audio

Hello all,

I can't get mencoder to encode audio from my TV card. Xawtv runs
smoothly including audio through line-in cable, and I can record
TV audio with the stand-alone program 'record' via line-in. All
mixer settings (like line-in capture) are set to make this work.

But mencoder refuses to do audio coding as well, I just get a
video stream in an AVI file. I use Kernel 2.4.21, Kraxel's v4l2
patch for this kernel and the SAA 7134 driver rev 0.28. Also
alsa 0.9.6 with ALS4000 based sound card

I start mencoder with this:
mencoder -tv on:driver=v4l:norm=pal:channel=E2:width=192:
height=144:forceaudio:amode=0:forcechan=2:adevice=/dev/dsp0:
audioid=0:volume=65000 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:
vbitrate=900 -oac pcm -vop pp=lb -o test

then I get this output: What is this ioctl error?

Anybody any idea? Any help greatly appreciate. Because I like
Mplayer for its great and fast video encoding.

Thanks!
