[MPlayer-users] Mencoder encoding to mpeg2

Hi there.

It seems the guys from ffmpeg are getting serious in implementing mpeg2
encoding support.

Is there any chance "someone" [;-)] will make mencoder support this,
i.e. have mencoder call the mpeg2 and mp2/ac3 support of
ffmpeg/libavcodec producing a nice multiplexed vob (also with
ffmpeg/libavformat support)?

Surely I am not the only one who wants to record tv programmes to dvd?
Sadly mencoder is the only frame grabber I have seen until now that
accurately syncs a/v without (unintentionally) dropping frames, so I'd
be very happy :-)
