[MPlayer-users] merging subtitles with video

Hi all,

Man ... after about a day trying (using different tools) I finaly managed to 
rip a movie ... Hurray !

However subtitles ... 

I have to following now ...

1. an AVI file with proper sound tract and looking OK 
2. a *.idx and *sub file (extracted for the proper language and playing fine 
with mplayer and giving -vobsub.

However, Now I want to merge them both (i.e. have the subtitles ON the movie).

I tried 

mencoder File.avi -ovc copy -oac copy -vobsub title -o FileWithST.avi

However Mencoder says : vobsub is not an MEncoder option

According to the docs on the web page this should work ?

Suggestions ?
