[MPlayer-users] dxr3 & sdl

Hi,
I noticed that there's a patch around that adds DXR3 support to the SDL 
library.
I imagine that, if it works, this would be the only way to redirect to 
output of a dxr/h+ card to a console.
I compiled a new SDL lib and tried to run mplayer using 'sdl:dxr3' as vo 
driver but it always seg-faults before showing anything :-(
Did anyone managed to use it succesfully?
Or does anybody know any other way to redirect the dxr3/h+ video output 
to a console?
