That is well what I thought. Completely uninteresting but so many people said
"Go to bugreports.html" that I obey like a nice little child. Thanks for your
answer though. It seems that I am the only one to have a/v sync problems only
in X11 environment and not in pure console. Wait and See. I'll maybe see the
reason of my problem in a next message. My only question was to ask if somebody
had the same sort of problem to help localise its origin.

Now I solved my problem indirectly by watching my DVD->DivX movies only in
console with:

mplayer -aspect 16:9 -delay 0.083 -vf scale=1024:768 movie.avi

Very good quality, large image and no a/v sync problems. I like very much
MPlayer.

Don't ask me why 0.083. I read it in a mail and tried it for fun. I have now the
impression to have a better a/v sync. Let's call it superstition.

Now I encoded the same movies from TV. I can see it in a X11 Window Manager
without a/v sync problems but with a lesser quality of image. Just a question
of choice.

In the man page I have since long seen "-delay". If I type -delay -3. Guess
what? Nothing changes! I even tried -delay -99 just to try and nothing ...
Arts is desactivated and there is no esd.
