FYI kernel and filesystem _may_ not be enough to overcome the 2G filesize
limit. You also have to have the libc compiled in the environment with
2.4 kenrel headers, and the compile programs with those new glibc and
kenrel headers. Lots of people have kernel 2.4 running with glibc
compiled with 2.2 headers.
