Grtz,
Disclainer: Although I am new to the list I have checked out the
documentation, FAQ, search and Google. I might not have used the
right key words but I tried searching quite a few times.
I run Redhat 8.0, I downloaded and installed all the relevant MPlayer
rpms from the RPM site, I used the standard RPMs, not the optimized
ones. I know MPlayer works 'cause I was watching some DivX and MPEG2
videos yesterday without a hitch, REALLY nice program BTW.
Alright, this morning I downloaded the 140Mb Matrix Anime quicktime
file. I fired up MPlayer and... nothin'. I manage to hear to audio
but no video, of notice, I did get these lines (full dump gzip and
attached):
...
mjpeg: JFIF header found (version: 1.1)
mjpeg: unsupported coding type (c2)
VDec: Codec did not set sh->disp_w and sh->disp_h, trying workaround.
Error while decoding frame!01 ct: 0,000 3/ 3 0% 0% 0,0% 0 0 98%
mjpeg: unsupported coding type (cf)0,001 5/ 5 0% 0% 0,0% 0 0 98%
mjpeg: unsupported coding type (cf)
mjpeg: unsupported coding type (cf)
mjpeg: unsupported coding type (cf)
...
BTW, the command line I use to fire up the MOV is simply:
mplayer animatrixlgfinal_dl.mov
Does anyone have a clue as to what went wrong?
Thanks,
Andre.
