[MPlayer-users] subtitles format with mplayer?

sorry, but what has expand to do with the subtitles being drawn or not?
(i know it's for positioning them, but if he can't see them, that won't
help imho).

can you see the OSD? ( press 'o' some times )...
if no, then you don't have any fonts installed... read the manual, and
if still don't know what to do come back :)

if yes, then mplayer didn't open your subtitle file.
what command line did you use?
try "mplayer videoname.avi -sub subname.sub" where of course videoname
and subname are the names of the files...
oh, and if still doesn't work, pliiz attach the output of 
"mplayer -v videoname.avi -sub subname.sub"
