[MPlayer-users] mencoder and fps and frame

I use mencoder for capturing video from my tv-card and I have two
questions:

1. I set 25 fps but for the first 10/15 seconds the fps are less
   (22-23-24). Then (after 10/15 sec.) the fps are 25. Why?

2. On rare situations it seems two frames are merging in only one. The
   same source viewed on tv is good. Do you have any idea?


This is an *example* of command I use:

mencoder -tv on:driver=v4l:width=352:height=288:input=1:norm=PAL:fps=25:audiorate=48100 -o video.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=huffyuv:vstrict=-1 -oac mp3lame -lameopts vol=3:br=64:cbr:q=9 -srate 44100

I use also the divx codec with same results.
