Using mplayer-0.90rc4 and alsa-0.90rc7 with a Voyetra Turtle Beach Santa
Cruz sound card (using the snd-cs46xx alsa driver), mplayer does not work
correctly with "-ao alsa9" unless a "-abs" option is also given, it reports:
alsa-init: testing and bugreports are welcome.
alsa-init: requested format: 48000 Hz, 2 channels, Signed 16-bit
(Little-Endian)alsa-init: 1 soundcard found, using: hw:0,0
alsa-init: unable to set periodsize: Invalid argument
Adding the option "-abs 1" or "-abs 3" causes mplayer to work correctly with
alsa, however the manual says that "-abs" is both obselete and OSS-only, so
it ought not to make a difference. The options "-abs 2" and "-abs 4" both
cause the same error as when there is no "-abs" option at all.
