[MPlayer-users] dvd->mpg4: keep multiple languages/subtitles

Hi,
is there any chance to keep all the
languages in audio and subtitles?
I want to bring down a dvd to cd  or multiple cd's
size. But for "educational" purpose I would like
to keep all, or a subset, of all the languages
and subtitles of the DVD. There is definiteley a lot
of crap on the DVD I do not need. 
The video can be probably tremedously compressed
going down from mpg2 to mpg4. The audio should also
be not that much of data and the subtitles cannot
be too much data as well.
What over methods/codecs are possible to convert ad
DVD
with its all feautes on a/multiple CD-size?
