[MPlayer-users] BUG: mplayer follows asf redirector correctly, but mencoder does not

When attempting to play content at the URL
http://fry.digisle.tv/perl/ESPN/play.pl?url=20031521335857.WMP_300k.asf&
mplayer can successfully follow the redirection to
mms://espnigwm.fplive.net/espnig/20031521335857.WMP_300k.asf
but mencoder cannot.

Running mencoder with the mms://... URL directly works flawlessly.
