If it is the case that your drive can not traverse the layer change,
then yes, you should run into an I/O error or infinite delay while
trying to copy the files off it.

I'll try! BTW, do you mean that I'd get the error even if I'd try to
copy all files on HD?
This could be an easy check to do [at least after I'll manage to make
enough space for it...]
