This looks good to me. You probably won't have to have 512MB but it definitely
is _no_ fault.

Sorry, I don't have some precise definition of what to buy or what not to do.
My guess is it should work at Athlon XP 1900+, might be it's ok on XP 1700+ if
you reduce all other processes running in background (i. e. no other,
unnecessary services)?

Some friend of me told me miro capturing boards would be great but I don't know
the quality for capturing videos. I do have some "Hauppauge WinTV Theatre TV"
card which produces lots of noisy tv programs whereas my Terratec TV+ card
(really old! Bt848 chipset!) works fine for me.

But - I really do have no experience in capturing TV/VHS-Videos.

You asked for critiques? Here you have:
Learn about the difference of "Reply to" and "Mail to" and you'll succeed in
mailing lists! ;-)

Reply tags your message belonging to the mail you reply to, so other browsers
will insert your mail into the mail-thread even if subject is totally
different.
 
Abuse is annoying much users (as me too ;-) since you therefore can't follow up
all mails of one subject.
