Hi,
I've several examples of AVI files which mplayer determines contain no
video stream.. however this is incorrect (the files play on other systems
e.g. windows :-( media player). They were created by MATLAB in Linux
(http://www.mathworks.com), and are not compressed with any strange codec
infact they are simple, uncompressed RGB videos. Here is some sample
output:
-------------
Using GNU internationalization
Original domain: messages

Current domain: mplayer

AVI_NI: No Audio stream found... -> no sound
AVI: Missing video stream!? Contact the author, it may be a bug :(
Exiting... (End of file)
---------------
Given the above advice (contact the author), and the lack of any mention
of this problem in the documentation (that I could see) I am writing to
notify the list.
Also, I tried the latest ("Xmas 2002") edition of mplayer from your site
on this video too.. with no success :-(
If anyone would like a copy of the file I can supply it, please write back
at this address if interested.
Thanks,
John
