Just, as a note on -geometry to developers: 

I like the behaviour described abobe when I specify -geometry +0+0. I 
don't know if it is considered a bug but it's perfect to hide window 
decorations when using the TV-OUT, so (developers) please don't change 
the -geometry actual behaviour.
