[MPlayer-users] Playing a DVD from the Hard Drive

Hi!

Isn't vobcopy a little slow?

I tried it yesterday and it took about 20 minutes to copy one of the 1Gb
VOB's.
On windoze, with the same DVD-ROM it takes from 20 to 35 minutes to copy the

WHOLE dvd...

Any optimizations required?

Uh... Actually vobcopy does a rather good job. I've used 'vobcopy -m' at
least fifty times, and ALL copies work perfectly fine with mplayer (or
transcode --> with libdvd*).
