I'm using MPlayer 0.90rc2 on Linux.

It seems that mplayer ignores audio delay set by -audio-delay option
when AVI file is encoded with mencoder.
On the other hand Windows Media Player (on MS Windows) seems to delay
audio for specified amount of time.

I've also noticed that -audio-delay option in mencoder actually
increases audio delay while -delay option of mplayer specifies how large
is audio lag. So -audio-delay 1.1 and -delay -1.1 would have same
effect, wile man page makes you beleive that -audio-delay 1.1 and -delay
1.1 would have the same effect.
