hmm.

add this line:
  sh_audio->afilter=NULL;

right after:
mp_msg(MSGT_CPLAYER,MSGL_ERR,"Couldn't find matching filter / ao format! -> NOSOUND\n");

in mplayer.c

sorry i can't test, since i have no ac3-capable hw.
