rtfm means Read The "Friendly" Manual...
And what he really means is that you cannot alter anything on the stream
without reencoding. The moment you use -ovc copy, the stream is copied
as is, so no modifications can be made. For the slightest modification,
you MUST re-encode the entire avi, which is usually a very bad idea due
to the quality loss...
