Hi there.

I use: mplayer --version
Using GNU internationalization
Original domain: messages
Original dirname: /usr/share/locale
Current domain: mplayer
Current dirname: /usr/share/locale

MPlayer 0.90rc3-3.2.2 (C) 2000-2003 Arpad Gereoffy (see DOCS)

CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon 4 PM Palomino/Athlon MP Multiprocessor/Athlon XP eXtreme Performance (Family: 6, Stepping: 2)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE

I copiled it with the following ./configure flags:
CONFIGURE_OPTIONS=" \
 --prefix=/usr \
 --confdir=/etc/mplayer \
 --enable-gui \
 --enable-largefiles \
 --enable-menu \
 --enable-freetype \
";

I appended the output of ./configure.

The problem is the following:
I watch a film and after 14min first the audio/video sync gets GONE and about 30sec later
the movie begins to hang and thus gets unwatchable.
If you restart mplayer go to this postion everythings fine.
Only after 14min again...

I looked in "top" output and the cpu is 80% idle!

And the only other thing it might be ... would be the harddisc... but I would not know a process
which could access the harddisc that much every 14min...

And since I updated from rc2 to rc3 everything was fine.

Do you know about this problem already?

What else information may I provide you?

Thnx for any answer.

Greetings,

Knuth.

'config.h' and 'config.mak' contain your configuration options.
Note: If you alter theses files (for instance CFLAGS) MPlayer may no longer
compile *** DO NOT REPORT BUGS if you tweak these files ***

'make' will now compile MPlayer and 'make install' will install it.
Note: On non-Linux systems you might need to use 'gmake' instead of 'make'.

Please check mtrr settings at /proc/mtrr (see DOCS/video.html#mtrr)

Check configure.log if you wonder why an autodetection failed (check whether
the development headers/packages are installed).

If you suspect a bug, please read DOCS/bugreports.html.
