[MPlayer-users] DVD playback problem

I just installed mplayer using the Redhat 8 RPMS.  The install went fine
and the application starts without any errors.

Once I try to playback the DVD however all I get is audio.  The video is
green with lines through it that go outside of the video windows and
scramble any other windows that are near it on the right hand side.

I am using RH8.0 - patched, with an S3 Savage/IX video card.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.
