Strip the headers from the .wav files (i.e. remove the first 44 bytes,
in any normal .wav file) then append the remaining bytes, and then use a
program where you can have raw PCM input and tell per command line
options what is the bits per sample / channels / sampling frequency of
your file.

For example you can use sox to copy the result back into a valid .wav file.
