Yes, then don't use qpel! It makes encoding take insanely long and
only improved PSNR by a very trivial amount (sometimes even makes it
worse!) Also it makes your movies take more cpu time to decode, so
they'll be too slow on older machines (or just slow down someone's
seti at home or whatever on new ones).
