After installing the right alsa software, reinstalling Mplayer 0.9.0 I finaly get a blue light on my amplifier
indicating that the soundcard is functioning in AC3 mode and is passing AC3 throug to the amplifier

BUT no sound......................................

can anybody give me a clue?
the only errormessage i get is "[format] Sample format big endian AC3 not yet supported"
Am i using a wrong coded?
did i use a wrong configure switch???

after reading the mailing list i concluded that this issue would be solved in Mplayer 0.9
