[MPlayer-users] trouble with real audio stream

i'm trying to play <http://www.kalw.org/kalw_stream.ram> and i'm having
difficulties.

i'm on debian, with the latest unstable from <http://marillat.free.fr/>,
and i have realplayer installed.

when i try the .ram url directly i get an error that the file format is
not recognized.

i pulled down the .ram and looked inside, and tried replacing the rtsp://
with pnm://, like so:

mplayer 'pnm://rmbcast.kalw-na-central.speedera.net:554/broadcast/*/encoder/rmbcast_kalw-na-central_may052003_2240_38033.rm'

but mplayer displays a lot of these errors:

input_pnm: read error.

and then plays some really garbled sound.

any tips appreciated.
