I have tried what you have suggested and it displays:
-----------
$ping 192.190.173.45
PING 192.190.173.45 (192.190.173.45) from 146.124.2.249 : 56(84) bytes of
data.
>From 146.124.2.1 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 146.124.2.1 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 146.124.2.1 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 146.124.2.1 icmp_seq=4 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 146.124.2.1 icmp_seq=5 Destination Host Unreachable

--- 192.190.173.45 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 received, +5 errors, 100% loss, time 4014msc

What do you think could be wrong?

Troubled,

[Automatic answer: RTFM (read DOCS, FAQ), also read DOCS/bugreports.html]

It works for me (tm)

Try this.

ping mplayerhq.hu
PING mplayerhq.hu (192.190.173.45) from 150.214.190.58 : 56(84) bytes of
data.
64 bytes from mail.mplayerhq.hu (192.190.173.45): icmp_seq=1 ttl=50
time=73.2 ms

I think there is some problem with your nameserver.

Try using the ip if the ping fails but ping 192.190.173.45 works
