It's the company's proxy servers that will not allow access to CVS's outside
our network unfortunately. Is there any other way to get my mplayer
updated??? I wish to avoid downloading one by one the files from the:
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/main/
So any other suggestions???

There's a problem with the Net somewhere between you and mplayerhq.hu.
Try using traceroute to see where it stops.
Works fine at my end:
