[MPlayer-users] Key binding focus issue with only certain keys?

I'm running .90 built on Gentoo.  While watching a video, all of my keys
work except my volume ones (which are bound to [ and ]) for use with a
remote control.  *However*, if I give focus to the console terminal that
launched mplayer, the volume is adjusted.  I'm also running Fluxbox.  Any
ideas?
