[MPlayer-users] sound w/ multiple movies playing

I'm using mplayer 0.9 on i686-linux and would like to be able to play several videos at the same time and have sound. currently, when I try, only the first video I play has sound, the rest have only video.

I think this may be caused because all the instances of mplayer I'm running are trying to use /dev/dsp as their audio output device. I don't know what device or deamon I should use to get all the audio streams playing.

Does esd allow for multiple audio streams?
