[MPlayer-users] why does my mplayer can't play subtitles

I converted all subtitle-files into UTF-8
and
-utf8
as mplayer-Option

Worked fine for chinese, hebrew and german subtitles.

btw. I used Bitstream Cyberbit as Subfont
