[MPlayer-users] getting number of frames

hello

okay may be this is a classic rtfm but i haven't found any parameters to get the
absolut number of frames (or the length in seconds) of a moviefile which is
necessary in order to calculate the encoding parameters.

i read the encoding-tips.txt and saw the examples on in the documentation but
haven't found something that would help me.
