Not sure if tdfx_vid support was still under development, but
I decided to give it a try and built with --enable-tdfxvid using
today's cvs snapshot.  compiled and installed the tdfx_vid.o
driver, and created the device file.

"mplayer -vo tdfx_vid ..." appears to play, and the video is
visible, but the colors are quite wrong.  does the 3dfx's fb have
to be initialized in a certain manner so that the color info
isn't misinterpreted?

btw, even though the colors do not appear to be getting through
intact, the speed increase visible when using "-vo tdfx_vid" in
place of "-vo tdfxfb" is quite noticable.  So I'd love to see
this working.  :-)
