Same here.
I can run with -vo directfb with DirectFB-0.9.16 with no problems.
But with DirectFB-0.9.17, I get audio, but no video. BUT ... I get an 
on-screen progress-bar type thing, which flashes a lot.
I'm not sure about DirectFB-0.9.13 though.

Anyone else had the same with version 0.9.17?
