[MPlayer-users] subtitle problems

im trying to play a VOB of a dvd of mine, and i cant get the subtitles
to look the way i want. they have a thick, white outline around each
letter, which i strongly dislike, and the text itself looks
semi-transparent, which i dont want. im using the following command:

mplayer -aid 128 -sid 0 CrouchingTigerHiddenDragon.vob

and i tried a bunch of other option to remove the outline...
-subfont-outline 0 ... -sub-bg-alpha 0 ... and a lot more, to no avail.

ideally i want a one-pixel think black outline (not too thick!) and
white, non-transparent text. but if this isn't possible, then just all
black or all white text, but with NO outline whatsoever.

thanks again,

farrell f.

ps. im using MPlayer dev-CVS-030622-22:09-3.2.2...i know cvs get broken
a lot, and this may be part of all of my problem. but this seems to be
the only version that correctly does two pass encoding using lavc for
some of my movies.
