uh ? i didn't cut anything!
this here in your response is NOT all i sent.

uhm... i didn't specify anything, -vo fbdev seems to be the default ?

the other two don't help in normal user.. works only as root.
i mean, i DID install the rpm as root (of course).. but is installed now in 
/usr/bin/mplayer .. that should work for a normal user, shouldn't it ?
