i can only confirm the opposite. as in it doesn't happen here, using xv all 
the time... i can't remember that happening while i used sdl.

does sound trivial even for me to fix :) though, i don't really care about 
gmplayer :))

hmm.. this i haven't heard about at all.. could you write some info about on 
which files your xv driver doesn't work and on which it does..? and ofc for 
what card are you trying to use what driver :)

there's never enough time.. i wonder if ppl should start using e.g. 36 hour 
days or 48 hour days :)) though, some jackasses would ofc make you work/goto 
school 1.5 or 2 times per day.. which would suck.. well, you can't win'em all 
:))
