ah, that explains what I was doing wrong.

I've uploaded samurix_detc.avi (and samurix_detc.txt) to mphq.  The
command line I used is:

	mencoder -vop detc -ss 10 -endpos 10 -ovc copy -nosound \
	  -dvd 1 -o samurix_detc.avi

I think that 10s segment captures some good examples.
