tried the script, but my system (mandrake 9) doesn't seem to have
mpeg2enc. where can i get it?
also tried with (will wrap):
[root at localhost]$ mencoder -of mpeg -ovc lavc -lavcopts mpeg1video -oac
copy -endpos 00:01:00 <something.avi> -o <something.mpg>
<something.avi> is a divx-encoded file (lavc/mpeg4, lame).
the resulting file plays smoothly with mplayer, but haltingly in
windows. the time slider moves on smoothly, but during certain segments
of its locus, the movie remains frozen.
and, there is no sound. neither in windows, nor in linux.
i need to make some vcd-s out of divx avi-s, that will be viewable in
all systems, even in lowly video cd players. what do i do?
