I can confirm that both the sblive and the audigy digital out work under 
linux. I have the Creative Megaworks 510D 5.1 speakers and it works great. I 
had to download the drivers from the emu10k1 sourceforge site and edit the 
config file to enable the digital output. I'm not sure if you can get it to 
work with either the built in kernel drivers or the alsa drivers.
