[MPlayer-users] Streaming .ram files not recognised (reprise)

Hi, I've read this message in this ML:

http://mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/2003-March/030839.html

I'm digging in MPlayer since some days to get RealPlayer streaming
working, but I'm experiencing the same problem as above.

First: I've read all the docs, installed Real codecs and compiled
mplayer with it and live codecs. It works fine with Windows streaming
already (well it worked the original debian package, too, but it wasn't
supporting RealPlayer so I thougt installing it woul have solved the
problem)

Now, this is my case:

http://www.raitre.rai.it/

click on "BLOB" image on the top left corner, you'll prolly see
RealPlayer starting, but not working.

Looking at the source I could get the info about the .ram file:

http://www.raitre.rai.it/Static/video/4/Ultimo_blob_1.ram

(Opening a RealPlayer session and using this address works fine)

wget-ted it, it contains the right address to the .rm file:

rtsp://mm4.rai.it/raitre/blob/ultimo/blob.rm

Now, 2 possibilities:

1) playting the rtsp

- if I play:

So, in aswer to the previous message:

this is my feedback.

Regards.

PS: last-minute tip: the error message say use the latest realone player
but remember I've tried streaming it with RealPlayer 8 (currently the
only one installed, cause I've experienced problem with the Linux RP
One) and it works.
