I need help with IVTC of a pure NTSC film source.  My command line is:
nice -+19 mencoder -oac copy -o potter-preview.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:vbitrate=825:vhq:vpass=1:vqmin=2:vqmax=16:mbqmin=2:mbqmax=1

It is my understanding the detc=dr=1 causes a frame drop every 5 frames.
In watching the output of this small clip(from harry potter DVD) I see a
telecine pattern of repeated frames, and therefore jerky motion.  What
am I doing wrong?  I am also curious how to get rid of the duplicate
frame message(unless by fixing my ivtc I fix that problem).
