[MPlayer-users] [MPlayer-user] Mplayer doesn't play movies good!!

Hi:

Sorry for my bad english, is not my natural language.....

I compile Mplayer, and for some short mpeg is doing good, but yesterday 
I try to play an avi file, and it appears in grayscale colors and I know 
that the film is on colors, and it appears broken on the screen, this 
way: <part of movie>\<other part> \<the rest>, what could be happening?

Another thing is when I try to see DVDs or VCDS or Divx, they appears to 
slow and without sync with audio, I try all the posibilities with 
command line, -framedrop, -cache, etc.

Can anyone help me with this? Do you need more info?
