[MPlayer-users] tv:// audio problem - works in mencoder, breaks in mplayer

Hi,
weird problem (using current CVS):

mencoder -tv 
driver=v4l:width=704:height=576:alsa:forcechan=2:outfmt=yuv2:forceaudio:input=2 
-ovc lavc -oac mp3lame -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4 -lameopts cbr:mode=0:br=128 
-o test.avi tv://

works perfectly

mplayer -tv 
driver=v4l:width=704:height=576:alsa:forcechan=2:outfmt=yuv2:forceaudio:input=2
-vo xv -ao alsa9:spdif -fs -double tv://

shows a good picture, but no audio at all.
It's probably not a matter of the soundcard not being able to do recording 
and playback at the same time, because I can use the mencoder line above 
and play the generated file at the same time (while it's being written 
to).

The hardware is a KNC saa7134 card (card=7) and an i810 onboard soundchip 
(alsa 0.9.3b)

Any ideas?
