[MPlayer-users] choppy cd audio

I have tried to play a cd audio file by

mplayer cdda://
mplayer cddb://
mplayer cddb://1- -cache 2048

I seem to get the audio to pause for like a second every 3-5 seconds or
so. I have dma enabled on all ide devices and mp3's and even dvds from the
same drive are fine. I get the same results on a completely different
computer and using different CDs
