[MPlayer-users] Splitting a large *.mpeg file into two - newbie NOVIRUS

Hello ,
I want to split a large *.mpeg file (about 1.2 Giga) into two mpeg files
so that I could afterwards create (with vcdimager) 2 VCD cds.
(So that these 2 CDs will be in appropriate  size as my Media CDs, which is 
700MB)
How can it be done with mencode/mplayer or something else?
