This is neither my primary choice when encoding. It was meant as a test,
but I quickly stepped away from it.

I do not think it is my DVD that is a bit strange, because then it would
mean all the DVD's I've ripped is a bit strange (11 Futurama DVD's & 3
Star Trek DVD's). As I said earlier the sync is correct when playing the
DVD's with mplayer.
When I didn't get the audio right at first I started encoding only a
chapter at a time, so I've used the -chapter option quite often, but
without success. Still the same desync as when encoding the entire
title.
The desync is also the same at the beginning of the file and the end of
the file.
