okay here are some results:
(without sound seems clearly faster, would sound be the prob?)
I did the tests with a quant2 xvid clip, with bframes, at high
bitrate, and ac3 audio(the results are very similar to all tests i
did)
when comparing approximatly the cpu usage:
mplayer with default options ~44% average
media player classic ~35% average
graphedit ~22% average
The first 7 tests compare different options, and the last 2 are there
to show that other versions give the same result(i also tried some
other much older versions which didnt give any better results)
i'll try with a version i'll compile myself later today
also... the results are the same in all 3 terminals i tried(cygwin
terminal, cmd.exe terminal, and win32 rxvt)
